Types of Funded Central Heating Systems
Arktek are able to check if you would qualify for funding towards the cost of installing the following types of central heating system:
- Mains Gas Boiler*
- Air Source Heat Pump
All central heating system installs also include radiators, pipework and heating controls.
*To qualify for a gas boiler central heating install your home must have an existing mains gas supply.
First Time Central Heating Qualifying Criteria:
To qualify for funding towards the cost of installing a new central heating system you must be in receipt of a qualifying benefit, qualify under LA Flex criteria and either own or rent your property from a private landlord.
Your property must not currently have a central heating system installed therefore your property may qualify for funding if your home is currently heated using one or more of the following methods:
- Electric Room Heaters
- Gas room heaters
- Electric storage heaters (inefficient or broken)
Please see below a list of systems which would not qualify for this type of funding:
- Gas boiler systems (including back boilers)
- Electric boiler systems
- Mains gas warm air system
The heating system used to assess your eligibility for First Time Central Heating Grants appears as the ‘Main Heating’ system on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your home.
